September, 2025 ~ Superior Country "Summers Over" Sit back and relax as we see the trains operating across the Heron Bay Subdivision, part of CPKC Railway's transcontinental mainline across Canada. This line handles mostly intermodal traffic with daily manifest trains operating each way. Unfortunately with the shorter days and getting close to the equinox quite a few trains pass in the darkness. We will start right off the hop at Coldwell catching an 11000ft intermodal train head down the grade before heading a few miles west the following morning on the other side of the hill with some aerial coverage. Enjoy just under one hour as we zig zag down the Trans Canada Highway catching various trains and sites along the way. Cheers!
