We had an incredible time at the Wakefield Rhubarb Festival, celebrating one of Yorkshire’s most iconic crops. In this vlog, we take you behind the scenes of our Yorkshire farm shop stall, where we were selling a full range of rhubarb treats made using Yorkshire Forced Rhubarb. On the stall, we had: – Rhubarb chutney and rhubarb jam, both made on the farm in Copleys Kitchen – Rhubarb sausage rolls – Rhubarb topped pies – Rhubarb and ginger scones – And plenty more freshly baked favourites All of our jams and chutneys are made on site using Yorkshire Forced Rhubarb. Our baked goods are prepared in our on-site scratch bakery and were baked fresh every morning of the festival. Our Queen Bee Heather and her glamorous assistant Ted also took to the stage for a live cooking demonstration, where they made a rhubarb custard slice and a rhubarb and pistachio panna cotta. It was a brilliant opportunity to showcase just how versatile forced rhubarb can be. We also took the chance to visit some of our farm shop suppliers at the festival, including Rhuchelo and Milk from the Hills, catching up with Rhu and Barb and learning a fascinating rhubarb fact along the way. If you love seasonal produce, local suppliers and seeing what goes on behind the scenes at a Yorkshire farm shop, this vlog is for you. You can find all of our rhubarb products in our farm shop at Farmer Copleys, and during the season we stock fresh Yorkshire Forced Rhubarb too.
