Its part of a family of J-series engines used in Honda and Acura products since the 90's, and up until today it has yet to be replaced. It still sports single over head camshafts, and many versions still don't have direct injection. Advancements such as variable cylinder management and variable valve timing (VTC) have been added over the years, yet the Honda V6 engine remains dominant in mainstream vehicles today, such as in the Acura MDX, RLX, TLX, Honda Pilot, Ridgeline, Odyssey and Passport.
