Vaccon’s VDF Series Variable Vacuum / Flow Pumps simulates a pick and place operation of various types of bricks, patio stone tiles and stone veneer siding. In this demonstration, the bricks are securely picked up and placed by the VDF 375 pump and VC-137 vacuum cup. The bricks have irregular, rough surfaces presenting a challenge to picking them up securely. The VDF Variable Vacuum / Flow Pump provides high vacuum flow and high vacuum level in one pump, overcoming the leakage inherent in handling objects such as these bricks with uneven surfaces. The VDF pump is able to handle all of the different brick samples without changing the cup or vacuum flow rate. The straight-through design of the VDF series of high vacuum flow pumps passes dirt & debris directly through the pump at high speeds without interference, clogging, or loss of suction, making them ideal for use in dusty and dirty environments such as brick manufacturing. They are field adjustable, allowing the user to regulate the vacuum flow and vacuum level to meet specific application requirements. For chemical compatibility requirements, high temperature, food, medical and caustic applications, custom materials are available including stainless steel, PEEK, Delrin®, Teflon™, and PVC.
