Thoughts: I mean, looks awesome, I love older terminals so nice to have something in that vein in a more usable format. It's very very heavy for its size, and a pain to pick up because of its shape, but that's part of the appeal as well lol. MT3 Dasher, it looks awesome, but man I don't like the feel nor sound of MT3, it feels like there's switch interference and bottoming out feels gross, the scoops are too deep and the profile feels off for me with a mx switch, but it just looks so nice, even nicer than sa dasher that I just had to use them lol. I could pick better here, but I gotta cave for the looks. This is another board that I've had for awhile and never found a perfect mx build for it like the m0110, but I think gateron melodic are a nice balance of being pleasing to type on without sounding crappy either, this board hasn't really impressed me with sound in that it's always been a bit more dull leaning, but the melodics strike a nice balance. I think they feel pretty great for a mx clicky, likely my second favorite after the zeal clickiez which I like a lot more but are more hit or miss depending on the board (they feel more alps like and more crisp, more tactile), but the melodics just fit this build better by being less cheap sounding and smoother which helped with the mt3. Brass plate is stiff as expected with this mount, but the switches bottom out a bit softer than you'd expect which helps with comfort. I don't really like typing on mt3 from an ergonomics perspective, and this board isn't bad in that regard, but it was nicer with GMK. It's very interesting as a whole, trying with a lot of different switches it really isn't a feel you get today considering it's mounting points and mass, it's not something that's personally to my preferences but with this build I have fun using it and don't think about that much lol, not something I can really compare to a modern top mounted 60 in any way. It would be better soldered once again, but I'm satisfied with it in the current state enough to just leave it alone and enjoy it lol. I have another build with linear alps, I'll have to showcase that another time, it's cool Build: Modern Dasher D60 - Custom Blue Brass Top Mount Gateron Melodic Zeal v2 1.6mm FR4 Hotswap Brass Weight MT3 Dasher Equipment: Josephson C716 → Crane Song Flamingo.1 → Prism Lyra 2 / Neumann U87i (Thiersch Reskin) → Flamingo → Lyra / Nikon D5500 C716 head level, from seating position, on axis centered alphas, cardioid pattern, decoupled. U87i head level, directly above board, on axis, cardioid, partially coupled. Max -1db peak (excluding camera), no further processing. C716 is accurate and honest to typing in person to my ear, extremely sensitive though. U87i is also honest but slight sweetness and grandness with slight grit, reskin and mods add some clarity and slight treble boost at cost of smoothness, direct overhead for different perspective and how most people record their boards. Crappy cam mic cause why not. Bad IKEA slab into acoustic membrane on concrete (slightly hollow and thinner sounding, weighted down with heavy equipment, isolated from floor) Aiglatson Studio Synchronize Jacquard (thicker and slightly stiffer, partially isolates from desk)
