This film directly continues from my previous video, Meiringen Funicular Ride | Switzerland Valley View, capturing scenic views from Meiringen as the journey continues toward the iconic Reichenbach Falls in the Bernese Oberland. The exploration begins under light rain at the falls, climbing higher for shifting perspectives—looking down over the cascades, back across the valley below, and standing at the top of one of the drops. The film then transitions back toward Meiringen, where valley views open up, the weather slowly clears, and our Meiringen experience concludes as the train arrives. The music you hear is my original composition, written to move with the changing rhythm of the landscape rather than narration. 🎧 Music: Original music by Ryan Gerald 📍 Location: Meiringen → Reichenbach Falls, Switzerland ▶️ Previous chapter (Funicular Ride): • Meiringen Funicular Ride | Haslital Valley... 🎞 Cinematic Travel Series: • Switzerland | Cinematic Travel Vertical short clips from this journey will be shared soon. 🎵 More Original Music Explore more music by Ryan Gerald: 👉 https://ryangerald.bandcamp.com 🌊 Reichenbach Falls — Fun Facts • 🏞️ Reichenbach Falls is not a single drop, but a dramatic series of seven cascades descending nearly 250 meters (820 feet) in total. • 🌧️ Rainfall dramatically transforms the falls—widening the cascades, intensifying the sound, and filling the valley with mist and spray. • 👣 The upper paths offer rare viewpoints looking down onto the water, including spots near the top of one of the major drops, before it plunges into the gorge below. • 🌬️ The force of the falling water creates its own micro-climate, with sudden cool air, drifting mist, and shifting visibility along the cliffside. • 🕵️ The falls are forever linked to Sherlock Holmes, who was written to have his final confrontation with Professor Moriarty here in an 1891 story by Arthur Conan Doyle. #Switzerland #ReichenbachFalls #Meiringen #CinematicTravel #OriginalMusic #SwissAlps
