Take a virtual trip to the beautiful canal district of Western Helsinki. We arrive past Ruoholahti Cable Factory to Tammasaarenranta, from where the view opens directly to the windy maritime landscape. The Ruoholahti Boat Club and its massive architectural works of art stand on the beach with its large steel structure support legs. The very striking accent orange color brings out the buildings deliciously. The Crusellins Bridge and its magnificent arched columns are a fine architectural continuation of the massive office buildings. Passenger, car, and green tram (spora) traffic runs along the bridge to Jätkäsaari and Länsisatama. We will go around the Ruoholahti canal, around which there are many kinds of cafes, restaurants and businesses and children's playgrounds. The whole area mainly consists of basic residential apartment buildings, as well as beautiful park areas and outdoor recreation areas with excellent walking and cycling paths. The canal is excellent for kayaking and small boating. Kayaking and boating is a popular form of camping. Finally, we cycle to the Ruoholahti metro station and head in the direction of East Helsinki. Erittäin näyttävä korostus oranssi väri tuo rakennukset herkullisesti esille. Crusellinsilta ja sen upeat kaari pylväät ovat hienoa arkkitehtuurista jatkoa massiivisille toimisto rakennuksille. Siltaa pitkin kulkevat niin henkilö-, auto-, sekä vihreä raitiovaunu (spora) liikenne Jätkäsaareen ja Länsisatamaan. Lähdemme kiertämään Ruoholahden kanavaa, jonka ympärille sijoittuu monenlaisia kahviloita, ravintoloita sekä liikkeitä. Koko alue on pääosin koostuu perus asuin kerrostaloista, sekä kauniista puisto alueista ja ulkoilualueista erinomaisilla kävely- ja pyöräteillä. Kanava toimii erinomaisesti melonta ja veneily harrastuksiin. Kajakki ja vene harrastus on suosittu retkeily muoto. Lopuksi pyöräilemme Ruoholahden metroasemalle ja lähdemme Itä-Helsingin suuntaan.
