This video shows the fantastic development of Ashbury Meadow Primary School's early years playground. After working closely with the school and understating the vision of the teachers, we managed to create a unique environment that gradually progresses children through the 7 areas of learning. We therefore created replicated activities that get more challenging as the children explore the area further. The surfacing has many different textures for the children to experience (some for the first time) and the colours show children different ways to move. The area has a huge focus on imaginative play as it includes a Performance Stage, Imagination Station (which can be transformed into anything due to its den posts), Surfacing and Mark-Making Boards.
