Modified Honda S2000 Winched 250' After Crashing Down Hill! Been a while since I posted a car fishing job that wasn't in the wash. Alex caught a good one on this job, reeling up a Honda S200 aka Honda S2k! If you're JDM fans, then this car needs no introduction. How this accident happened is a mystery, but I have a few theories. Luckily the driver was OK, even though the poor car is now 100% totaled. Safe to say not much can even be parted out, but that's a call for insurance to make. The job description came in as an unknown vehicle 300' over the side on Mulholland Drive. Alex arrived in our 75ton rotator, Big Flipper, and saw it was closer to being just under 250'. After some quick line rigging, he repelled down and rigged the car using BA car recovery straps. From there, it was smooth sailing as he winched the Honda back up to the top, flipped it, then re-rigged so he can do a full lift. Vicente was on standby in his flatbed, and in just minutes they had the car on the bed and ready for transport. If you saw my last few breakdowns, you know I'm a JDM guy and have an Evo myself. So it's sad to see an iconic car such as this be destroyed. As always though, property damage just has a dollar value while human life does not. What did everyone think of this special catch?
