It is crisis time and normally I would be back in Australia in spring. Since this is not possible at the moment, other activities have to be undertaken. After the 20 km hike through the Taunus Mountains along the Limes, this time I went to Rommersheim in Rhineland Palatinate. Again we went on a round trip, this time surprisingly again through a wine-growing landscape. The area of Rommersheim was already inhabited 2000 years ago and is quite interesting to look at during this 10 km hike. In this video, I go on a hike through the wine fields of Rommersheim in autumn, a charming village area in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. The vineyards around Rommersheim are part of the famous winegrowing landscape of the region, and walking here in autumn means experiencing the countryside at one of its most beautiful times of the year. From here, you can see the vineyards unfolding below like a patchwork quilt, dotted with farmhouses and villages. In the distance, the hills of the Palatinate rise gently, and the wide Rhine Valley stretches out in the other direction. The changing light of autumn, especially during sunsets, makes the views even more magical.
