Finally! a Fan Belt that fits the Midget and we get two horns working

In this episode we get back to the 1973 MkIII MG Midget and finally sort out the slipping fan-belt issues and fix the horns. The replacement for the sheared alternator pedestal arrives only to find the treads need some work before the nut will go on. Then it turns out I’ve probably had the wrong size fan belt on the car for some considerable time. Still a bit annoyed to find that the belt won’t go on with the alternator fully mounted, but a quick twist with the rear mount removed got the belt located onto the pully in a jiffy. Also arriving were two new horns to replace the non-working high-tone horn and decided to get a new pair rather than just replacing the non-working one. Very different sound now (almost too modern). Finally I take the car out to meet some friends at a pub taking the car with me to shake it down.
