LAKTUL_v2.4's gameplay mod 'Starship Troopers: Bug Infestation' v1.0.3 serves as a revamp to his prior mod 'Starship Troopers Doom', compared to that former version there have been select subtle design changes. Whilst still accurate to the franchise's lore and designs, including the mobile infantry's sci-fi weapon set; high capacity and devastating damage, there are a few new inclusions. Outside of the franchise's usual set, the MoritaMK3 SAW has been added, along with those from 'Starship Troopers: Extermination', the Sniper XXX and the E-PULSE pistol. Additionally, the inventory has been overhauled to include a variety of items; deployable barricades, a variety of grenades, mines and health kits, the mod even includes a built-in flashlight as well as flares. As for the Arachnid enemy set replacement, these has been new audio and blood/gib effects added and the soundtrack is included, being relevant and adding to the mod's immersion. In RaZZoR's map 'Sierra Outpost' it boasts near a thousand enemies between you and the red key required to complete the level. Here's the premise; Arriving in via dropship, you find the outpost has been overrun and your arrival marks a horde of bugs arriving to lay siege to the base, leaving you its sole defender, though with access to MI's incredible arsenal. You had best be ready as an aerial horde of hoppers descend immediately as the ground bugs encompass the base's walls. True, they cannot get in but you need that key located in that bug hole meaning every bug is your problem. This map uses textures from LAKTUL_v2.4's mod effectively, creating an MI outpost in the middle of bug country and whilst intended for the Starship troopers mod, it can be used with any other really.
