This week Im leaving the deep freeze of Fort McMurray behind and heading south in search of mountains, sunshine, and open road. The journey begins with a snow riverside camp, waking up surrounded by winter before stumbling across a truly Albertan Winter gem-- a tractor museum in the middle of nowhere! After a quick explore, the real adventure begins I make my way onto Alberta's legendary Forestry trunk road, winding through remote backcountry at the feet of the Rocky Mountains. What I found along this sliver of dirt road is hands down one of the most epic campsites I've ever landed- completely alone, tucked beneath towering peaks, with a golden Rocky Mountain sunset all to myself. This is overland camping in Canada at its finest: off-grid, quiet, rugged and unforgettable.
