I finally got around to fixing my alignment. These cars stock are pretty understeery. First time aligning it, I finished the front and ran out of time, which made the car very oversteery, but still capable of consistent 2:17. Finally found time to fix the rear alignment this week, and was looking forward to getting some data. Unfortunately, it rained pretty much the entire weekend… I got only a handful of laps on a wet track between people sliding off, crashing, etc. It was looking like I wouldn’t get any clean sessions in, as my last session was 4:40, and it was still raining at 3:45… By some chance, it stopped raining shortly after, and the sun came out for the next 30-45 minutes. I went out and ran a 2:15 on the second lap, with every other lap being 2:16. As you can see, the track is quite damp still. Surprisingly, only a few turns were at all unpredictable, including those at the end of both straights (1 and 12). The car has quite a bit left in it with ideal track conditions. Setup: GiroDisc rotors Cobalt pads 19” Finspeed F15 wheels (1” wider than stock) Hoosier slicks (265/325) The car has downpipes on it, but was run at stock power. Running at higher power can overheat the clutch after a few hot laps. Stock cats were blown out and restricting flow, so decided to do downpipes to free it up. You can see I short shift in many sections to try and keep temps down. I had the water pump replaced years ago and it fixed all my heat issues, but I occasionally get temperature warnings, so probably time to replace it again.
