Witness ye the use of a royally radical pedal, the "Organizer" octave generator by EarthQuaker Devices, with a tenor saxophone! Brian from Progger demonstrates what you can do with this pedal as a horn player, and he's been using it a lot on Progger's shows this year. It'll be heavily featured on their upcoming studio album, too, along with some other deliciously delightful electronic toys from EarthQuaker (such as the Space Spiral, also appearing in this video) and other fine makers of fun gear. Check out Progger's music here! http://proggermusic.bandcamp.com In this video Brian is playing into a normal-ass Shure SM58 dynamic microphone, and from there into the Radial VocoLoco preamp/effects loop. The signal goes out via the effects loop into the Organizer and the Space Spiral before coming back to the VocoLoco and then directly into Logic Pro X. The basic DIY video is courtesy of a regular old iPhone 5. In addition to gleefully using the hell out of EarthQuaker Devices effects pedals, Brian also plays Macsax saxophone mouthpieces.
