I headed to Valletta to experience the 2026 Carnival celebrations, expecting colourful floats, costumes, music, and the usual lively atmosphere in the streets. Unfortunately, the weather had other plans. Rain and wind swept across Valletta and many of the carnival events were postponed, turning what should have been a vibrant celebration into a very wet adventure. Instead of parades and performances, I found myself ducking into a local pub to escape the downpour.
