I wanted to start out wishing Xiao Qi Ji a Happy Birthday by giving thanks to our gorgeous queen Panda mommy Mei Xiang. For giving birth to the biggest little miracle of the past year one year ago! We all know what a extraordinary mother she is, protecting, teaching and nurturing her precious baby. We have watched Xiao Qi Ji grow smarter & funnier every day on the webcam. He has uplifted our traumatized spirits during covid with his antics, play bouts and cuddling with mama Mei. Simply watching him eat is breathtaking! His little personality is remarkable and acrobatic performances astounding. He's a curious and intrepid explorer who climbs and reaches to the highest heights. He's also cautious and deliberate in each step he takes, but only when he's in the mood 🤭. There are a multitude of reasons to adore and admire this precocious cubbie! I feel very connected to him and love him as I would my own child, if I had one. So I need to visit my baby a couple times a week right? 😍❣🐼 I just left the the Panda House after celebrating Xiao Qi Ji's birthday all morning. Captured lots of amazing footage which I will try to finish editing and everything as soon as possible. Meanwhile, I have here footage from earlier this week, Monday and Tuesday at the Panda House for Xiao Qi Ji's first 2 birthday presents. Monday was the first day of gifts for his birthday week. He discovered the bright orange baby spool, which he absolutely loved rolling with & wrestling into submission. On Tuesday, he was given a blue bowl which he tried to climb inside & looked ridiculously cute! Both days they were treated with sugarcane early. As usual, there was Mei "helping" Qi Ji with his piece, but clever cubbie was dodging her attempts a bit longer than usual. He's making it not so easy for her anymore! 🤭 Even though he dropped it both times in his attempts to escape with the coveted sugarcane lol! Thanks for watching!
