As part of our National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) series, we’re highlighting the unique stories and contributions of individuals across our programs who are thriving in the workplace. This week, we're shining a spotlight on Nick, who has been working at JCPenney for just under a year now..Whether he’s prepping merchandise or keeping the sales floor clean and organized, every shift is a chance for Nick to grow, contribute, and shine. With the support of his job coach, Andrena, Nick has grown into his role with confidence. His work at JCPenney is a source of pride and a symbol of the independence he’s building. Most of his paycheck goes into savings, but he always leaves room for joy. For example, every weekend, like clockwork, Nick heads to Disneyland. It’s his favorite way to celebrate life and reward himself for a week of hard work.
