African Wild Dogs youngsters trying to cool down on a very hot African day.

African Wild Dogs are an endangered species with their population decreasing as we speak. A couple of years ago 2017 the number of adults in The Kruger Park was around 250 now they are down to +/- 200. But that can change, up or down as they have many pups once a year and hopefully their numbers can go up again. In this video, we came across the pups taking a break and trying to cool themselves from the hot sun by lying in the shade and scraping off the top layer of hot soil to get to a slightly cooler layer. These dogs ar know for their way of feeding on animals while they are still alive and ripping them apart while they are exhausted after a long chase and there is no escape if the target is cornered by a pack of hungry dogs.
