A quiet walk along the river

After Christmas nothing much sounded better than a quiet walk alone in nature. I knew I wanted to hear the sounds of water, and decided to check out the Keystone Rapids Trailhead. Located in Traverse City Michigan near the Keystone sports complex. This trail follows along the Boardman river and is truly beautiful. At 35 degrees I never got too hot or cold, though the trails were quite icy and good traction shoes would have been a good idea, regardless, I never fell! and found what I was looking for. Open year round this trail is easily accessible, with stunning river views around nearly every turn. There are some boardwalks, stairs and overlooks as well.
