It is located 0.3 miles from the town centre next to Reigate Station, where the third rail electrification from Redhill ends and the line becomes un-electrified until it reaches Shalford Junction. This level crossing is still controlled by the adjacent signal box to the day of recording, and has near-30-year-old barrier motors and alarms. A station sign with rather faded Network South East stripes can be seen in one of the corners of this level crossing, and a footbridge here allows pedestrians to safely bypass the lowered barriers, and this also gives excellent clear views into the station. Thanks for watching!
