Edi Pyrek -- traveller, author, therapist and personal coach driven to discover what other cultures may have to teach us. Edi has served as a peace negotiator in Afghanistan, coached two prime ministers, and much of his work is centred on the idea of 'permanent education' while his prolific output has included books, theatre plays, magazine articles and films. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
