Monday, March 9, 2026 | A cluster of thunderstorms, will move in from the northwest later today into tonight. For most of us, this will mean some heavy rain, claps of thunder, and a few flashes of lightning. However, the most intense storm cores could also produce some pockets of large hail and/or some areas of damaging wind gusts. The tornado threat is near zero. Storms are possible at any time between 3 PM and midnight, but newest data suggest the greatest risk of isolated hail/wind will occur between 8 PM and midnight. Scattered thunderstorms could develop again on Tuesday, but those are unlikely to become severe. A more robust storm set up arrives Wednesday into Thursday, severe weather is possible with this midweek system. After that one departs, a quick shot of cold air is likely for Thursday into Friday.
