Thursday, March 12, 2026 | Much cooler air has arrived in Central and South Alabama. Temperatures will stay in the 50s and low 60s the rest of the afternoon, before plummeting into the 40s for overnight lows tonight. We are dry and slightly warmer into the upcoming weekend with afternoon temperatures rebounding into the 70s and overnight lows into the 50s, then storms arrive Sunday night into Monday. Isolated strong wind could occur due to the strong, low level and mid-level jetstream involved with the system. Sharply colder air sweeps into the state early next week; Frost is a good bet Monday night into Tuesday morning and perhaps again Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
