Today we're going to be taking a look at the Curt Hitch Lock for 1-1/4" and 2" hitches, part number C23517. This Curt Receiver Lock is pretty unique in that it keeps your accessories such as your bike racks, your cargo carriers, and your ball mounts secure in both your 2" hitches or 1-1/4" hitches meaning you can use this for multiple style vehicles. The lock is made from a stainless steel construction, which is going to resist rust and corrosion. It comes with a dust cap, which is going to keep road dirt and grime out of the lock, and also prevent corrosion of the lock as well. The lock is easy to use with a quarter turn activation and it comes with two keys for this application. Now that we've gone over some of the features of the lock, let's go ahead and go over some of its dimensions. Its overall length is going to be 5-1/4". The usable space in between is going to be 2-13/16" and then the diameter can be a 5/8" that you see here or if we remove our lock, remove the sheath, and now it's a 1/2". Now we'll show you how to use the lock in the typical application. We'll take our bike rack here, put it into our hitch, and it does need a lock application for it. Now we'll take our one lock out making sure that the 5/8 sheath is put in place. Push that through one side onto the other. Push our lock into place, give it a good quarter turn. Now it's locked in and secured to our vehicle. With the 1-1/4" hitch, it's pretty much the same procedure. You install it, line up the pin holes. Only this time, we'll remove the sheath, push it through, and again lock it in place. Now our ball mount's secure. There you have it for the Curt Hitch Lock for 1-1/4" and 2" hitches, part number C23517.
