In this, first, episode of the "Elementary, Synthetic Geometry-based, Introduction To Inversion In The Real Plane With Respect To A Circle" course, we cover the goals, the prerequisites and the road map of that course. The primary goals of this course are to introduce the viewers to the mechanics of inversive geometry in the real plane with respect to a circle in an elementary fashion and, also, to bring to light the fact that Mathematics is an art of telling a story. The secondary goals of this course are to show that, among other things, Mathematics is "a process" and to demonstrate how such a process forms a corpus of textbook knowledge. The prerequisites for taking this course are minimal. Just about the only two things that are needed for a successful journey through this course are 1) the basic situational awareness (street smarts) and 2) a basic and quite modest knowledge of the basic plane Euclidean geometry. Above all, the personal traits that will ultimately determine the level of success of engaging this material are the genuine interest in learning new things and the willingness to step out of one's comfort zone. In this course we prove 44 theorems and solve 29 problems smudged across 29 episodes as follows: 9 lectures, 9 seminars and 10 practice sessions, plus 1 closing, "from here", epilogue and farewell episode. This course's syllabus is available free of charge at my free GitHub repository, as a .pdf file, here: https://github.com/RomanAndronov/theP..., in case you missed something during the presentation. In the next episode we will motivate the introduction of the idea of inversion of a plane in a circle; we will define all the interesting things that will equip us with the tools to study the inversive geometry and we will settle on a common terminology. As an FYI, this course is based on my free, and much more voluminous, book "Inversive Geometry For All" that is available free of charge to anyone interested as a collection of .pdf files, one file per chapter, in my free GitHub repository here: https://github.com/RomanAndronov/free... (the "igfa" abbreviation for the prefixes in the names of all the files in that directory stands for Inversive Geometry For All). Which also means that every episode of this course has a corresponding companion, free, pdf file that is a respective chapter from the above book. Check the comments section of this episode for the particulars. Lastly, for a smoother experience with this course, the newcomers to our channel are encouraged to find the S1E1 and S1E2 episodes on this channel and watch these episodes in their entirety.
