This year feels different. Not in a fireworks, “new year new me” way, but in a quiet, oh-this-is-actually-happening way. I talk about realizing how fast 2026 is already moving, what it’s like to stand at the beginning of a new chapter, and the three big themes I’m carrying with me this year: starting my own business, taking better care of my health without punishing myself, and letting myself be seen a little more. That naturally brings me to perfectionism (my old companion, my occasional saboteur). I reflect on how perfectionism has shaped my work, my creativity, and even past projects I ended up abandoning because “perfect” became heavier than “possible.” I share a very real example from my first paid client project, how stress and perfectionism feed each other, and why “done is better than perfect” has become my guiding principle. I also talk about AI—how it’s changing everything, how it does polish and perfection faster than any human ever could, and how that’s forcing a bigger question: if machines can do perfect… what’s our role now? For me, the answer is leaning back into being human. Breathing noises, rambling thoughts, quirks, messiness, and all. This video is a ramble about letting go, choosing authenticity over polish, and trusting that imperfect presence might matter more than flawless output. If you’re wrestling with perfectionism, burnout, big goals, or the strange pressure of the future, you’re very welcome here. 💜 Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments. This space is open.
