BUSINESS SOCIETY OF DIMAPUR TAKES INITIATIVE FOR REPAIRING GS ROAD

The commercial road of Dimapur known as GS road is in a deteriorated & pathetic condition for the last 20 years and unnoticed by the state government. The business society of Dimapur has taken the initiative for repairing the road as due to the dilapidated condition of the road, the commuters are suffering a lot especially at the time of monsoon. The business society of Dimapur after looking at the sufferings of the commuters in this festive season decided to repair the road starting from GS road till Dhobinala junction with the budget of Rs 3 lakh collected from the business owners of the GS road area. The Chairman of Indian Red Cross Society Dimapur, Chandu Agarwal informed that they have already approached concerned departments, local MLAs and DM regarding the deteriorating condition of the road but no fruitful solution has been found so far. Agarwal further appealed to the government to at least provide a second process of black topping on the road which was layered by stones, bricks and dust by them .
