I was honestly surprised I never saw this hike included in a 'Best hikes in the world' list. Being one of the deepest canyons in the world, there are many hikes inside the Colca Canyon in Peru, most leaving from the city of Arequipa. By far the most stunning part of the hike is its unique nature, from the Andean Condors to oases, it has it all. The river gives life in the arid terrain meaning you get to see Avocados, papayas and figs living alongside cacti. The Colca Canyon in Peru was one of the highlights of our trip and we recommended it even as one of the best day hikes from Arequipa.
