Buses In Finglas | October 2025

A video showing buses in Finglas (north Dublin), recorded in October 2025. Finglas is located in north Dublin, bounded to the north by Charlestown [   • Charlestown Buses | March 2025  ], to the east by Ballymun [   • Ballymun Buses | September 2024  ], to the south by Glasnevin [   • Glasnevin Buses | October 2024  ] and to the west by Dunsink and the M50 motorway. Passing through Finglas is the main road north to Ashbourne and Monaghan. It has been two years since the last visit to Finglas [   • Finglas Buses | April 2023  ], and this video was recorded less than a month before the F-Spine changes under Bus Connects were introduced. These changes had a massive impact on the bus services in Finglas, seeing the end of routes 40, 40B and 140 [   • Routes 40, 40B & 140 | Dublin Bus | 2025  ] which serve the village, and routes 9, 83 and 83A [   • Routes 9, 83 & 83A | Dublin Bus | 2025  ] which served the eastern residential areas of Finglas. Not only do all of these routes appear in this video, but so do some buses being used for F-Spine route training. Apart from these routes in their final weeks, other routes that continue on also appear here. The three northern orbital routes previously introduced under Bus Connects feature in this video. Routes N2 and N6 are operated by Go-Ahead Ireland, while route N4 is operated by Dublin Bus. The other Go-Ahead Ireland orbital route (220) also features throughout this video. A number of Bus Eireann routes appear on the main road that passes north/south through Finglas. These routes feature both double-decker buses and double-decker coaches. Finally, two Go-Ahead Ireland driver training buses appear in the video, as well as a former Bus Eireann SL Class bus that is now with the Irish School of Motoring.
