You’ll find the project done in two flavors: -Project 1 published today, presents the app in software programming – with an Omron PLC -Project 2 will be next week, presenting exactly the same app, in hardware programming – with just a few CMOS Integrated Circuits! Both examples use a similar diffuse reflective photo-cell to detect items, NPN type. What kind of items can be counted? Practically any, from pills dropping in a transparent plastic tube, to whatever coming on a conveyor either intermittently or at regular pace. The number of items to be packed in a box, can be easily modified by setting the counter!
