Trust is not built in a moment. It is formed through consistency over time. In Luke 16:10, Jesus reminds us that faithfulness in the small things matters. Not because of scale, but because consistency reveals the condition of the heart. The issue is not little versus much. The issue is whether a person lives with steady integrity. Proverbs 20:6–7 tells us that integrity carries generational weight. A life lived faithfully does not stop with us. It becomes a seed that influences the lives that come after us. Every act of integrity is a seed planted into the future. But what happens when trust is broken? In relationships, in leadership, or even within our own hearts, the instinct is often to fix things quickly. We want explanations. We want resolution. We want the situation repaired immediately. Yet Scripture points us toward a different path. 1 Peter 5:5–6 reminds us that God gives grace to the humble. Humility is the beginning of restoration. It removes the need to defend pride and opens the door for healing and rebuilding. Trust rebuilds slowly. It grows again through patient consistency, sincere humility, and actions that prove integrity over time. In leadership, trust is a form of capital. Teams rely on it to communicate honestly, move quickly, and contribute courageously. When that trust is damaged, the restoration process requires patience and genuine humility. But when restoration is approached with sincerity and faithfulness, something powerful can happen. Relationships can emerge stronger because they have walked through the repair together. Today’s reflection invites two important questions: Is there a relationship where trust is slowly rebuilding right now? What consistent actions would strengthen that process? _________________________ Bible Verses: Luke 16:10 (ESV): One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much. Proverbs 20:6–7 (ESV): Many a man proclaims his own steadfast love, but a faithful man who can find? The righteous who walks in his integrity— blessed are his children after him! 1 Peter 5:5–6 (ESV): Likewise, you who are younger, be subject to the elders. Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you.
