On 5 January 1961, actor William Russell and actress Barbara Jefford spoke to ITN's Desmond Grealy about the Old Vic theatre group's upcoming trip to Moscow. Neither of them were concerned that the language barrier might affect the audience's enjoyment of Macbeth, so confident were they in their Soviet counterparts' understanding of the classic play. William Russell has died aged 99.
