So, there are a bunch of different categories of weapons for primaries, but they will either use the Rifle mods or Shotgun mods for the basic modding scheme, so that will be what I'm covering. For those that use the Rifle mods: Serration, Point Strike, Vital Sense, Split Chamber. These work well as the basis for most builds that care about Crit Chance/DMG. If the weapon you are modding doesn't, drop Point Strike and Vital Sense for more multi-shot (like Vigilante Armaments) or added elemental damage (either the regular 90% or the 60/60 ones). For those that use the Shotgun mods: Point Blank, Hell's Chamber, Ravage, Blunderbuss. If it isn't a crit weap, drop Ravage and Blunderbuss, follow the same logic as building the Rifle mod weaps. Also super useful are the Magnetic and Radiation damage mods from the Sanctum Anatomica and 1999. Arcanes for primaries are often nuanced to build/playstyle, but Dexterity works well for hybrid melee/gun players, Deadhead for the headshot fans, and Merciless for the mow-em-down fanatics.
