Various of firefighters dousing smoke at site of pipeline fire STORYLINE: Two rockets landed near a primary school and a residential compound in Baghdad on Wednesday, damaging one building and destroying a civilian vehicle. There were no casualties and the origin of the attack was unconfirmed. The new Iraqi government deliberately brought the handover of sovereignty forward by two days to avoid such attacks. Meanwhile, residents of the Azimiyah district north of Baghdad joined the funeral procession for a victim of Tuesday's violence. Omar Al-A'dhami was caught in the crossfire between Sunni rebels and American forces. Mourners at the mosque dispersed after the arrival of US troops. Meanwhile, Iraqi firefighters in Josephia, south of Baghdad, were still working in the aftermath of Tuesday's attack on an oil pipeline. A witness said Tuesday was the third consecutive day the pipeline had been attacked. Guerrillas have been targeting Iraq's infrastructure to undermine to the new US-backed government. Recent attacks on the biggest pipelines in the country halted Iraqi oil exports for several days.
