In this video, we would like to share with you how to make the Chinese popular dim sum “Siu Mai” at home. This Cantonese dim sum dish is very popular in Hong Kong Lunch Yum Cha. For this dim sum recipe, it is simple and everyone can do it at home easily. Try if you like it! Siu Mai is a type of Chinese dumpling. This typical Cantonese dim sum variant consists of ground pork, whole or chopped shrimp and shiitake mushrooms, wrapped in thin wheat dough, seasoned with Chinese oyster sauce, pepper, salt, sugar, bean flour and sesame oil, and garnished with little salted egg yolk. Ingredients: Siu Mai wrapping, Minced pork, Minced pork fat, Diced mushroom, Shrimp, Salted egg yolk Seasonings: Sesame oil, Pepper, Oyster Sauce, Salt, Sugar, Bean Flour Method for making Siu Mai: 1. Wash shrimps and cut part of shrimps into small cubes. 2. Add in diced mushroom, minced pork and pork fat. 3. Place the above ingredients in a owl and add seasonings, mix and stir until sticky. 4. Put the fillings on Siu Mai wrapping and wrap into Siu Mai shapes. 5. Then place a whole shrimp and little salted egg yolk on Siu Mai for garnishing. 6.
