Text to image AI generators can open up creative possibilities for my photography. In this video I take you through the steps I take to combine an AI environment with a real photo shoot. I begin by create an unexpected environment in Midjourney. Next I analyze the light in the scene, and then try to mimic that light in a studio shoot. The next part of the equation is to combine the two assets in Photoshop using generative fill and color grading for more realistic results. This process of combining a real shoot and ‘fake’ environments allows me to expand my creative horizons and stay timely with new capabilities offered by AI. For this shoot I also incorporated the Pantone Color of the Year 2025, Mocha Mousse, to bring in another trend-worthy element to the fashion shoot! Lighting Overview: Main light: Top down (back left) soft light source achieved with a Large Umbrella with Diffusion Fill light: Soft, non-directional light achieved by using V-flats to bounce light and fill in shadows, simulating light bouncing around the space.
