'Clyde McPhatter - Vocal with Chorus and Orchestra' with "When You're Sincere" recorded from the original English 78 rpm shellac single on London HL-E.8293. "When You're Sincere", B-side to "Treasure Of Love", was released in the UK in June 1956 with "Treasure Of Love" peaking at Nr. 27 on the NME charts. The single was originally released in the US on Atlantic in April 1956 with "Treasure Of Love" peaking at Nr. 1 on Billboard's R&B Chart and Nr. 16 on the Pop Chart. Both sides were recorded on March 4, 1956 in New York City with Clyde McPhatter on vocals and unknown accompaniment. Words and music by Eve Johnson. The charting A-side, "Treasure Of Love", will be available shortly. Musical style: Rhythm & Blues. Video recorded by Antoon van Olderen using an audio-technica player model AT-LP1240-USB with an Ortofon 2M 78 MM-stylus and audio captured off air via a Driade D 71 MK II speaker. This video is a recorded live demonstration of a playback of the 78 RPM shellac format on modern day equipment and is shared for archival and research purposes.
