It may be some time still before the bars are open again, but the dekanta TV team managed to get a look behind-the-scenes to whet our appetite. Top bartender Hiroyasu Kayama was kind enough to welcome Kilara into his world-famous Bar BenFiddich in Shinjuku Tokyo, and show us how the great bartenders serve Japanese whisky in cocktails. Hiroyasu Kayama is not just an expert cocktail maker and bartender, but also a botanist and alchemist too! His speciality is in creating his own liquors and garnishes - he grows, dries and prepares his own botanicals to create spectacular drinks. Making use of his impressive collection of new and old Japanese whiskies, Kayama San showed Kilara how to make some show-stopping Japanese whisky cocktails.
