Our mission was to provide food for one night at our large family holiday party this year, at their house. 23 people in total, ages 77 to 2, including a few vegetarians. Cheese Fondue was a wonderful option that we knew would meet everyones needs. After much research it was clear our choice of fondue set came down mainly to the pot that was offered. In general, ceramic is best for cheese fondue. Stainless steel/brass are great for liquid fondues for meats and seafoods. Enameled cast iron is capable serving all of these; so, unless you plan to have one pot for each food group, then this is the most economical and most versatile choice. Cast iron also if probably the most durable and will last you a lifetime. This set comes with 6 triple prong skewers, with black textured handles. We bought more for the party - https://amzn.to/3A20q3D The rack and plate both have a cool vintage distressed finish, and the burner-holder is stainless steel. There are other color options, we chose black, and from our experience and research, you'll be challenged to find a better value fondue set anywhere else online. Please enjoy the video, and let us know in the comments if you have any questions. Cheers! Or, shall we say FonDO it! Recipes: Check our partner blog for recommendations on ingredients - https://www.frontcountry.store/blogs/... Fuel options: Swissmar Gel Cups - https://amzn.to/4cbogqW -These are smaller and better suited for cheese fondues as they nestle into the stainless steel burner, but the burn time is presumably shorter. Sterno Gel Cans - https://amzn.to/4foOitM -These cans burn for 2.25 hours, popular with caterers, and will work great for all fondues. You may find that it sits closer to your fondue pot in some cases, and will want to monitor the heat more closely when making a cheese fondue. We did use this, and while there was semi-burnt cheese in the bottom of the pot after two hours -- it was still easy to clean up and the cheese never smelled or tasted over heated. I looked forward to using the Sterno gel for seafood and meat fondues where the stronger direct heat will be perfect. Swissmar Fire Gel refill - https://amzn.to/4fBFOzE -This is the most economical and environmental option, which we have not used. I imagine clean up is needed, where the cans you simply discard when done using.
