In an attempt to pump out some cold-processed watermelon soap in time for those warm summer days, I got a little more than I bargained for: watermelon soap that is HAZARDOUS and that I won't be able to sell. This is a first. As a creator who makes homemade cold-processed soap, I was bound to run into this problem at some point or another. I mean, it's a pretty common issue in the soapmaking community! You might be wondering, why is my soap dangerous and how can I avoid this problem in the future? Well, watch on to find out! I get most of my soap supplies from Voyageur Soap and Candle, which is a soap and candle supply shop based in Vancouver.
