The Bellarine Peninsula Railway operates a collection of 3'6" gauge locomotives and rolling stock from railway systems all over Australia along a re-gauged section of the former Queenscliff branch line south west of Geelong. This video features former Tasmanian Government Railways diesel electric locomotive X3 hauling the regular Sunday services to Drysdale and Lakers Siding on Sunday 9 September 2012 The TGR X class locomotives were the first diesel electrics to enter mainline service in Australia. X3 was built by the Vulcan Foundry under contract to English Electric in 1950. It was withdrawn in the 1980's and sold to the Bellarine Railway in Victoria for preservation. © 2012 James Brook
