Enjoy them all. If you don't have a rope or a strap yet you can use a large bath or beach towel. One of the things I enjoy about Isometric exercises is that they can be performed by the young and the old, inside or outside, once or multiple times a day, with or without equipment, standing, sitting, or lying down. Isometric exercise can be enjoyed as a stand-alone, or interspersed with Kettlebells, Clubs, Maces, Longevity Rings, Staffs or any other kind of equipment. How Long Do You Contract with each Isotension Exercise? Depending on my intent for the day I contract for anywhere from 6-15 seconds on an average. But there are times and certain Isometric exercises that I might hold for as 30-60 seconds.
