Season Game, 11/14 Vs. Mighty Hornets @ Dirt Yards (Home). I didn't realize this until after filming, but the "Mighty Hornets" is also the name of my first ever Backyard Baseball team I put together... Before you ask, no, the line-up was not anything even CLOSE to similar to this one, but we too lost our only two games of the season before I threw in the towel with that team. I might do a season play in the future where I try playing with that team again... But that's a maybe. Anyway, what is there really to say about this game, it's whatever... I'm only really getting kinda ticked off at Annie and Stephanie at their inability to co-operate. I might have to move them around soon if they keep up their antics. --------------- Scouting Report: Shortstop: Vic Soufle, 3/8/5/7. Excellent throwing arm that WOULD make him a terrifying shortstop to face... If it wasn't for his terrible glove. Not much of a power hitter, but he can beat the ball to first with his speed. Catcher: Wendy Parsons, 7/5/7/8. Identical stats to Ivan Rodriguez. Good line drive-style hitter with equal power and contact, excellent throwing arm and can pitch in a pinch... Just don't expect her to last too long in the field. Not with her stamina. Left Field: Rachel La Buena, 9/6/4/8. Great glove and hitting power, but a very weak throwing arm. Don't expect her to get a lot of outs. Third Base: Veronica Lee, 7/9/3/7. Great power, but poor contact, with enough speed to leg out a single even with the iffiest of ground balls. Decent glove but below-average throwing strength. Center Field: Trent Sizemore, 5/8/5/10. Another weak slap hitter whose speciality is primarily whacking down a weak ground ball and then beating the throw to first. Has a devastating throwing arm and near-perfect glove, making him a menace in the outfield. Right Field: Marianna Rauf, 7/4/6/10. Identical stats to Ernie Steele*. Good power with very poor contact, plus not the best running speed or throwing strength. Another wonder-glove, as well. Pitcher: Marky Dubois, 5/4/7/8. Pretty so-so hitter and not the best runner, meaning he won't get on base much, but he does play some mean defense with a great glove, decent throwing arm and a surprising variety of pitches. I'm also not sure why he insists on playing sports barefoot - I mean, I'm sure Annie would be willing to give him a pair of her sandals if he asked - but I guess if he's already only a 4/10 runner with shoes off, I'd rather not nerf him even further. First Base: Tracy Hoban, 5/4/5/9. Boatloads of stamina and a great throwing arm, but not the best bat and not the greatest running speed. Another "defense only" player, similar to Marky. Second Base: Michiko Adachi, 5/4/3/9. Yep, you guessed it, it's another one of those players who's a hot shot in the field, but a cold duck on the basepaths. I guess that's one thing consistent about the Hornets, huh. *Stats are cloned from the original 1997 version of the game, without the buffs or nerfs added between revisions. --------------- Hot/Cold Day Report: -Kenny Kawaguchi: +7 Batting, +2 Fielding. -Stephanie Morgan: +3 Batting, +2 Running, +2 Pitching. -Annie Frazier: -7 Batting, -3 Running, -2 Fielding. -Michiko Adachi: -2 Batting, -1 Running, -1 Pitching, -4 Fielding. -Rachel La Buena: +1 Batting, +1 Running, +2 Fielding. -Wendy Parsons: +5 Running, +1 Pitching, +1 Fielding. --------------- Current Rankings: Record: 10 Wins, 0 Losses. Last Game's MVP: Vicki Kawaguchi. Reasoning: Inside-the-park home with an Under-Grounder off a Spitball... Which, for some reason, didn't award us a batting power-up afterwards, even though it normally would have. Yeah, I dunno what was going on there. Honorable Mentions: Angela Delvecchio. --------------- Credits: NobodyLivesHer7 on Twitter, Maria. ChipzDio on DeviantArt, Vicki. chioridaqueen on Discord, Tony.
