The Hawker Hurricane P3351 — a rare WWII veteran of the Battle of France, Battle of Britain, and the Eastern Front — returned to the UK for the 85th anniversary of The Battle of Britain. Join Henry Simpson and pilot Jiří Horák for an exclusive interview about the amazing story of this airplane and its return to British skies. Recently restored to represent the well-documented Hurricane P3143 from No. 310 (Czechoslovak) Squadron based at Duxford Airfield in 1940, the aircraft flew from its home base, Tocna Airport (Točná), near Prague, back to Duxford to commemorate the 85th anniversary of the Battle of Britain. It participated in an extraordinary gathering of no fewer than eight Hawker Hurricanes (a record gathering of the type since they were in military service). Jiří shares the incredible history and restoration of this 3 front veteran airframe and the markings is represents, as well as its importance to the Czech people as a symbol of their fight for freedom and commemoration of "The Few".
