The album was recorded at various studios in New York City. Production was done by Vinny Idol, Mr. Devine, Liveson, DJ Cocoa Chanelle, DJ Green Lantern, DJ Twinz, The Alchemist, and "Supa Mario" Pizzini, who also worked as the executive producer with The Lox and Charles Suitt. The album includes appearances from Styles P, Jadakiss, J-Hood, and Stephanie Lynn. He's an American rapper famous for being part of The LOX and for founding D-Block Records alongside Styles P and Jadakiss. Sheek was inspired to start rapping around age 12 by his friend Jason Phillips, also known as Jadakiss. Together with Styles P, they formed The LOX. The trio was discovered by Mary J. Blige and signed to Sean Combs's Bad Boy Records, releasing their first album, "Money, Power & Respect," on January 13, 1998. Later, The LOX members left Bad Boy Records and signed with Ruff Ryders, a label that also housed DMX. Their second album, "We Are the Streets," was released on January 25, 2000.
