(Note: This is a sequel to Devon Baxter's video) Phil Monroe (1916-1988) was an American animator and director who is best known for working for Warner Bros. Cartoons under the supervision of Friz Freleng, Bob Clampett and Chuck Jones. Monroe has also worked for UPA, DePatie-Freleng, and MGM Animation/Visual Arts. Monroe's animation is very rubbery and loose with a emphasis on stagger drawings and key poses.
