Nov 4, 2025 10:45am Caltrain commuter rail train passes through the Churchill Avenue railroad crossing on the JPBX Caltrain Peninsula Sub in Palo Alto, California. The close right and far left pedestrian signals are new but their mechanisms and bases might be reused from the previous short lasting pedestrian gate only signals. It also sounds like the rest of the signals that were already here had their bells replaced also. One gate here sues low profile RECO Gate LEDs. This crossing also once had GRS or LS branch semaphore mechanisms for pedestrian gates on the left corner and right corner until about 2010 or 2011. The only thing I dislike about Caltrain crossings is how their pedestrian signals and gates will be so far to the corner of the crossing that if you film from a certain angle you have no choice to cut some signals out of the view. This is why I filmed from the intersection side of each crossing just to at least film all signals on the 1st video I film of said crossing and if nothing changes at it, will film from another angle when I film it again.
