Sometimes when certain tasks get delayed the leadership or team may ask the PM if the task is on critical path? What do they mean by that? How can you as a PM quickly look at the plan and respond to that question The person who asked the question is trying to determine if the delay in that activity would causes the overall project to be delayed or if it is just causing that particular activity without impacting the overall project timeline. So showing them whether any particular tasks is a critical task or not will help ease their mind. But how can you quickly determine all this if you are in the middle of a meeting. Well that is what I am going to show you in this tutorial There are multiple ways to look at the Critical activities 1. The easiest would be to highlight the critical tasks. So let’s see that in action. 2. You can also filter to show only critical tasks 3. Gnatt chart view shows the tasks that are critical in Red Boxes 4.
