Lloyd's Link to the many resources used in this series:    • Запись   According to Lloyd there are a number of forms of Abrogation, including the well known Qur'anic form found in Surahs 2:106 and 16:101 which refer to the later Medinan Nasikh verses (the abrogator) that abrogate the earlier Meccan Mansukh verses (the abrogated). A second form of abrogation which Lloyd refers to is that of the Mantuk and Mafun form of abrogation which are found within Shariah law, which itself has the highest and strongest category of authority, and therefore Shariah can abrogate both the Qur'an and the Hadith, as it comes later. Though it then cannot be abrogated by any further area of authority. Lloyd continues that in the 'Reliance of the Traveler', the manual for the Shaafi school of Fiqh (W4.0) it stipulates that Christianity is to be abrogated by Islam, relegating Christianity to the status of a cult, with Islam designated as the final, and therefore most authoritative of all faiths. Another reason Christianity is to be abrogated by Islam is due to the reference in Surah 60:4 where Abraham is noted for hating the Jews who surround him, because they refused to believe in Allah, a rather odd historical anachronism, since neither the name, nor the god 'Allah' existed that early, in 1900 BC. Nonetheless, due to this verse, the doctrine of "Al Walaa wa Baraa" (the doctrine of hatred towards Jews and Christians) was created, and has become one of the driving forces behind Muslim's hatred of Jews and Christians right down the centuries, including today. Since Abraham hated the Jews of his day, those who came in the line of Isaac, Muslims are required to hate Jews and Christians today, carrying on that hatred of those in the line of Isaac. This stands in direct contrast to what we read in Genesis 17:18-20 where God told Abraham that he would bless the sons of Ishmael, but His covenant was uniquely reserved for Isaac and his descendants, not Ishmael. So, Lloyd reminds us that this hatred which Muslims posses for us as Christians and Jews is due to Shariah law's indictment of us, because of the belief that Abraham hated Jews.
